Located in the heart of the St. James's Gate Brewery, the Guinness Storehouse® is Ireland's most popular tourist attraction. We did the Jamesons/Guiness combo tour. Wished we had more time at Jamesons, and Guiness was amazing. This pkace is the Disneyland of beer. Wonderful views of Dublin from the top, and excellent array of things to do throughout. I am not a very touristy person, but I had a great time. No one can argue about the beer!
If you are a big Guinness fan, it's definitely worth the visit for the free pint at the end of the tour and the gift shop full of Guinness memorabilia. The view at the top of the building is a beautiful sight of the city as well. However, unless you have the Dublin Pass to get into both the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery, the Jameson Distillery tour was much more interesting and informational than the Guinness tour if you are deciding between the two.
