The Kveldsro, which is Norse for "Evening Peace", opened as a hotel in April 1969 and underwent a total refurbishment in 1993. The Kveldsro House Hotel is very much the Country House Hotel in town - relaxed ambience, and a commitment to good food, freshly produced, using local produce where possible. You can choose to dine in either the Cocktail Bar or the Gallery Area restaurant - the extensive menu will seek to match all expectations, with a select wine list (chosen from one of the few remaining independent merchants in Edinburgh).
