“Great wines, local beers & ales...”
The Shadingfield Fox Inn was built in the 17th Century, and was used extensively by travellers between the Suffolk market towns of Beccles and Halesworth. Our country pub and country restaurant has the traditional ambiance and feel. With original low beams, doors, ceilings, walls and other features, the building has been extensively and responsibly restored and refurbished in 2007 by the current owners, Matt and Jemma Mills. The Shadingfield Fox has two working log fires which are very cosy in the winter, and there is a large car park for your convenience. We can also offer an extensive and changing menu, along with an intimate and romantic dining experience. Our conservatory offers a light and bright dining experience and is ideal for small celebratory events, and there is also a south facing sun terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. You can easily find us as the village of Shadingfield is on the main A145 trunk road, and The Shadingfield Fox sits at the edge of the village; complemented by the rolling Suffolk countryside. Not far away is the delightful seaside town of Southwold with all its traditional attractions. The attractive market towns of Beccles and Halesworth are also nearby, and well worth a visit when in the area.
Friendly service and good beer
