Stayed one night and loved it! Liked that you can walk to the lake shore in 20 seconds. If in an RV, the entrance is on the west side. There is a ramp on the east side but not made for long vehicles, basically a dirt ramp people made/use. You will have to level a little bit but worth it in my opinion for the view. Had no cell service but Starlink worked fine.
This is a large paved lot along Kluane Lake with incredible views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It's right along the Alaska Highway, so there's a bit of noise, but it's also convenient. There's a great beach area along the water.
The area could easily fit 10 rigs at least, so if you're arriving late, there's still a good chance of finding space. I'd suggest not filling the entire lot with campers, though, since it's also a popular stop for people traveling along the highway to take pictures of the lake and to walk the beach.
There's no cell service. Traveling north, the next service is near Beaver Creek about 30 miles away. Traveling south, you'll find service in Haines Junction around 40 miles away.
Great overnight stop once traffic slows down.
Some road noise, but not overly busy at night.
Great paved area with access to lake shore ( some people refer to it as a ‘beach’)
Starlink works great here
