Large sites with picnic tables and fire rinks (and free wood!). Perfect for an overnight stay on your way North. It's so nice you might decide to stay a few extra nights! (Very good Bell cell service (4 bars 4 G).

I couldn't fathom why there were so many people clambering over one another to stay in Watson Lake at a 'gravel parking lot' campground at $40 when you have this Government Campground less than 10 minutes out of town. $12 including wood for your fire. Self serve registration was painless although we did have to get change for the fee.
Cell signal was 4 bars on both Bell and Telus.
Very quiet. Nice long sites. We tucked nicely in at 56ft end to end on a back in site and there were also large pull-thrus.
Water, outhouses and a playground and lake near by. Large tables and firepits in all sites.

Nestled a couple miles down a dirt/gravel road is Watson Lake Campground. We stayed in site 44 in the second loop on the lake and is a large pull-through. That site has a little path down to the lake, but there were loads of mosquitos down there.
There were quite a few sites that were easily 100’ in length.
The campground only has vault toilets and water that you are supposed to boil before using. They do have free firewood throughout the campground though.
Cell signal in the town of Watson Lake is excellent – 4 bars of LTE. But at the campground, we were getting 3 bars of 3G. It was enough to get the job done.
Quick access (once you get to the main road) to the Sign Post Forest and the Aurorium.

The drive in is on a dirt road and about 4 km’s off the main highway - once you turn into the park, it is fairly bumpy. We arrived at the campground about noon and were able to have our pick of sites but it was full by 6ish. We were in the 2nd loop and all of the sites looked like they would have accommodated us. There were two pull thrus.
Sites were well spaced out with lots of greenery in between. We could barely hear anyone’s generators - which were turned off well before quiet time. Firewood is supplied (but not split). There is a recycling bin for cans and some plastic. Outhouses were clean.
After we set up, we went back into town to see the Signpost Forest and walk the trail around Wye Lake. This campground is infinitely more scenic than the ones in town - providing you are fine without hookups.
We visited the grocery store while in town -it has a pretty good selection but some prices are definitely higher than what we are used to. A bar of cheese was $22 and a 12 pack of pop $9.
We had no cell service.

Huge, level site. Arrived mid day and found lots of empty sites. Oddly enough, you can hear airplane noise from across the lake. Good cell signal

Lots of pot holes, 10-15mph. Once in Camp site, you don’t want to leave. Long drive As above, quiet nice sites. Ok big rig, not great but couple 40+ in here now.

The road in was a bit rough, not terrible, but there are some potholes. It had rained so at least it was not dusty. There are 2 loops, almost like 2 campgrounds. There is a trail connecting the two loops, which was a bit overgrown with some fallen trees. The first loop had 35 sites and was empty when we drove through in the early afternoon. The loop by the lake had 20 sites and all but empty as well. We took the big pull through, #46 that had a trail down to the boat launch with a dock, lake access and a play area. This loop filled to 3/4 full by the evening.
Clean and stocked pit toilets, water, free wood, picnic table, fire pit, mostly level sites, big rig friendly, some pull through sites and mosquitos.
We paid $18 online (or buy at a vendor), $20 if you pay on site. We had 3-4 bars of 3G.

Great sites in the forest, large, private. Quiet, not far from town.
Clean bathrooms and lots of firewood.
I can’t say enough about Yukon Parks! They are the best!
Kayaked on the lake, saw eagles. Super
