Allan Gardens, founded in 1858, is one of the oldest parks in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has a conservatory (greenhouse), a playground and two fenced off-leash areas for dogs. It houses Toronto's largest collection of pandanus (Madagascar tropical pine). Allan Gardens' year-round permanent flowering plants include orchid, various hibiscus, bromeliads and cacti, and is said to have Toronto's best display of caladiums and amaryllis. Allan Gardens is operated by Toronto Parks who also run Centennial Park Conservatory. It is open every day of the year and is free.
