“one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World”
In 1995, the CN Tower was classified as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The CN Tower shares this designation with the Itaipu Dam on the Brazil/Paraguay border, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Panama Canal, the Chunnel under the English Channel, the North Sea Protection Works off the European coast, and the Empire State Building. Since the Tower opened, Canadians and tourists from around the world have made the trip to Toronto to celebrate this marvel of civil engineering. Besides serving as a telecommunications hub, the Tower provides world-class entertainment and a wide range of unique attractions, exhibits and food and beverage venues.
The greatest place to take your glass-bottom floor selfies! Kind of expensive ticket to the top though, so come prepared.
Very expensive tickets (like what everyone is saying) but the view from the top is incredible and it's worthwhile to pay for the experience at least once. I'm not sure, however, if going up to the very top (you can pay more to go up just a little bit higher) is worth it.
It's pretty expensive to go up the tower, but it's free to look at and take pictures of this beautiful structure.
Amazing view of Toronto and Lake Ontario. Once you’re up on the tower you realize how much larger it is than the surrounding skyscrapers. Hard to tell from the street.
Very cool, phenominal views of Toronto and Lake Ontario. Go early, like when it first opens because by 11AM the wait to get to the top was almost 2 hours. Call ahead and ask for approximate wait times at different times of the day so you can plan ahead. We had lunch at "The Rec Room" which was very close by (3 minutes walking).
Cool experience! Views of the city are spectacular!
I was unprepared for the prices but going to the top was a cool experience. Its a once in a lifetime thing, probably won't do it again. I wouldn't recommend going to the top, besides the view there's nothing to keep you. Save your money and grab lunch on the main observation deck.
Expensive, I don't think it's worth it. the kids enjoyed it, though.
