Reviews
The plaque today says that Mac has officially regained his status as tallest in the world after some sort of “Moose Truce” with Norway in 2019.
There is a fence around so any pictures have to be taken from a distance. The visitor information centre is also right there and has exhibits on tourist attractions and washrooms.
'Mac' isn't a good-looking Moose, but then I'm not a Moosette.
He stands there, on the edge of a service area, surrounded by a metal fence, looking out on the highway.
Someone in Scandinavia is building (or, has built) a slightly taller Moose, taking the title from Moose Jaw, so there are plans to raise Mac by a few inches to get the title back.
Worth a stop, good place to stretch your legs.
I didn't really notice what there was, but there are some services/stores around the parking area.
He is pretty cool but surrounded by a large gate so you can’t get close to him. We did see a ton of prairie dogs around him though so that was extra cool!
