Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay conserves and develops the Saguenay Fjord, a unique environment in Quebec. Baie-Éternité (Rivière-Éternité): High rock cliffs sculpted by glaciers rise to more than 350 metres. Baie de Tadoussac (Tadoussac): Inheritance of the last glacier, which led to the formation of impressive marine terraces named “Les Dunes”; major crossroads of bird-of-prey migration. Baie Sainte-Marguerite (Sacré-Coeur): Ideal place to observe beluga whales. Three discovery and visitors centre have all the information you may need about the particular characteristics of the Fjord. Park guards deliver their knowledge on this exceptional territory and the riches it contains. A network of short- and long-range hiking trails of more than 100 km takes you to the front row of a moving scene. Cruises, sea-kayaking, rabaska canoeing, fishing from a row-boat or zodiac, and sailing are other ways to discover the Fjord. Lodgings in cottages, shelters, and campgrounds with or without amenities allow you to take make the most of your stay. In winter, Baie-Éternité (Rivière-Éternité) is transformed into an ice-fishing village. A Nordic ski and snowshoe trail, with overnight stay in a shelter or cabin, links Rivière-Éternité and L’Anse-Saint-Jean. Baie Sainte-Marguerite in Sacré-Coeur is also accessible up to the Anse à la Barge shelter.
