My family of four, two kids, got a spot right in the lake. The week after Labour Day and pretty quite, but friendly people around. Super quite and really refreshing after coming from the city. Obviously fish in the lake with a few little boats fishing out front. New flush toilet block but no showers. $5 dump station and fresh water refill on site.

$22 gets you a clean, large, well thought out campsite with a picnic table & fire ring. However there are no hookups. Drinking water, restrooms trash cans are available throughout the park. Boat launch and beach are also available.
Checking in was a pleasant experience and they give you a list of campground rules. Which all make sense and are written very positively!
The 12 km road in is paved but quite bumpy, suggest you take it a bit slower than the posted limit.
It is a family campground so you hear families having fun, but at 10pm the campground becomes very quiet.
Only suggestion is to stay away from the double sites (2 sites share the same driveway), these double sites are close to each other.
We saw many folks fishing.
Overall a great experience.

We camped here midweek and the park was almost empty. We had 2-3 bars of Bell reception. Enjoyed the peace and quiet with lake breezes to cool the heat of the late afternoons. The 12 km road into the park has very recently been repaved, making it a pleasure to drive here with any size of rv. Booking ahead is almost a must as there are no fcfs sites. The park operator told us they have an overflow area for people who drive up without a reservation.
