Camping Plage Trois-Pistoles

This is a large destination type resort for campers. There are many season units here, but plenty of space for dropins and travelers. It would be best to have advanced reservations as the season deepens.

The c/g is east of town just north of rte 132 about one mile. It is well marked, the bilingual staff is friendly and does their best with English. Most guests were from Quebec and went out of their way to be friendly even if they didn't speak English. Those that could speak it jumped in to helo.

The park is family oriented si there alre large groups, lots of kids and dogs, campfires and groups sitting aroiund the fire talking. The evenings end early with tired kids and the noise dies down.

The stone/sand tidal beach is very nice for wandering and rock picking, kayakers love the tidal changes. This is a nice place for an overnight or a longer stay.

Trois-Pistoles is a beautiful area along the St-Lawrence river. We did not have a reservation but we were told that the only sites that could fit our 23 foot RV were sites with 3 services. It was difficult to level our camper. We were located in an area where there many sites for seasonal. Many families with a lot of kids and dogs so a lot if noise until 10. It was very quiet after 10:00. At 7:00 in the motning, we went for a walk and we saw many sites available that had a beautiful view where our camper would have fit perfectly.
