“Check out this desert habitat”
In 1998, as part of its effort to conserve the South Okanagan’s unique habitats, the Desert Society opened an interpretive facility—the Osoyoos Desert Centre. In addition to an interpretive centre with hands-on exhibits, the Desert Centre also features a 1.5 km elevated wooden boardwalk. Visitors are invited to explore Canada’s desert while enjoying a guided or self-guided tour along the boardwalk.

My family has stopped at the Desert Centre on numerous roadtrips and love it every time. Always something new to learn at the pocket desert.
