“Toronto's largest public park”
High Park is Toronto's largest public park featuring many hiking trails, sports facilities, diverse vegetation, a beautiful lakefront, convenient parking, easy public transit access, a dog park, a zoo, playgrounds for children, a couple of eateries, greenhouses, picnic areas, a bunch of squirrels and various events throughout the year. From wild forests to the Chinese gardens and the famous Japanese cherry trees High Park has a truly genuine and beautiful vegetation - well taken care of by the city. Regardless of when you visit the gardens are always beautiful.
High Park is sort of Toronto's Central Park. It's a really great place to walk your dog, or spend a summer afternoon relaxing with a book. Often times in the summer months there's loads of free events that go on, so if you want to eat some great street meat and see some love bands you'll love it here.
