Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 08, 2019Stayed here after returning from Arizona, one of the few parks open in April and early May in this area, sites were large, we found because they relied on student help that the lawns were over grown, ticks were a serious issue, a number of seasonal people cut their own grass to help reduce the problem, it has the potential to be a great park, but has too many thing going on with a marina, and ball hockey that made for a lot of speeders and noise, huge picnic areas more traffic and noise, beach, soccer field and such.
Really no playground area for children, and the worst booking system I have ever seen, they would turn campers away and leave sites open on a weekend. We would stay there again but would not be a first choice.

This makes a great stopping spot when traveling through Ontario from Michigan to Buffalo. Convenient to the highway and an urban area but still fairly quiet. This is a big park with a marina and Lake Ontario access. The restrooms and showers are very clean. In the newer section (sites 50 - 78) there is little screening between sites.

Easy access right off QEW. Right on Lake Ontario with excellent views. Sites are large and have very nice patio areas. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Quiet but busy camp site. Close to the QEW highway but no noise. Large Marina with 1st class restaurant. Great beach for swimming. Very busy at weekends in the summer. Opens on the first weekend of May. Great place for newbies to practice reversing, and hooking up (facilities, I mean ). Sites have full hook ups.

The park was easy to find. There is pavement all the way. The interior roads are gravel and in very good condition. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic.
Our site, 63, was a back in that was easily long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Distancing is decent for an urban park. The “new section” did not have much shade or much in the way of privacy barriers but the “older section” does. Each site has a table but NO fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was very well maintained. Be aware, this area is listed as high for Lyme disease carrying ticks. Stay away from long grass and wooded areas. Check yourself, your children and your pets often. We did not find any Black Legged (Deer) tick but four others.

The park included wifi was very poor at times but usually okay for email and light browsing. There is no cable TV. We did find some OTA TV. Satellite would not be difficult in the new section but perhaps iffy in the older one.. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The laundromat was neat and tidy. $2.50 to use washer and another for the drier and again, very clean.
There are trails with in the park as well as numerous beach areas. This WAS a very quiet and restful area until neighbors moved in with two large dogs that were allowed to roamed the campground at will. These people also drove their unlicensed/uninsured Quad around the park at high speeds. Sadly, there is no way to contact authorities after hours but complaints were lodged by us and numerous other campers the next DAYS but no action was taken to make the neighbors comply with any rules. There needs to be a 24 hour security telephone number that is answered for situations like this.
We used this park as a base to visit the Niagara Falls area and nearby wineries. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. This park would have been a very nice to use as a base to visit the area. We paid $51.00 per night plus a one time $13.00 reservation fee plus applicable taxes and we feel we received very good value but we probably will find a safer park if we are back in the area. I hope management will stiffen security measures for others that

Stayed here for 2 nights. The park is a little older but has been maintained well. Great walking trails with views of the lake and marina. Nice large level sites, and friendly staff.
