This is a great smaller park with many sites on the water. Sites are available with Hydro and water, Hydro alone, or no amenities. There is a great area to take your dog for a swim. Views over Georgian Bay are
phenomenal.
This park is right beside Highway 26. Traffic noise can be heard throughout the day but it’s usually fairly quiet at night. The speed limit by the park entrance is 50 miles an hour so take care entering and exiting the park.

We have a 37’ tall fifth wheel and are very experienced with navigating trailers in tight spaces. There was no way we would have been able to fill our water tank at this park due to the tight corners required. We may have been able to get into our site but likely would have done damage. We unfortunately did a little bit of damage to our truck just going around the campground to leave. We were unable to stay here and had to make other arrangements for our 3 night stay in the area.
Do not stay here if you are over 30’, which is likely still pushing the limits if you are not an expert driver with a trailer in tight spaces.
This park is also not a typical Ontario provincial park, there is no privacy to be had. Lots and lots of tourists.
Pros: very nice area with mountain views and beautiful Lake Huron. Staff were very friendly on arrival and when we asked for a refund as we were leaving.

We stayed at Craigleith Provincial Park during the May long weekend. While the park is close to the Highway, we didn't hear any traffic from our site. We had an on-the-water site, our soundtrack was the gentle lapping of waves. Lovely to sleep to.
The sites east of the entrance (Area D) are larger, more private and radio free - some but not all have potable water on site, check when booking. We much preferred them to the sites west of the entrance, which were too close together for our liking.
Showers and washrooms were impeccably clean, as tends to be the case with Ontario's Provincial Parks. There's a lovely playground for the kids and a large grassy area for badminton and volleyball. Laundry facilities ($2.50 for a large wash, $2.00 for the dryer) come in handy with messy kids. Bring your own laundry detergent.
The Park Store sells the basics, but there are cheaper, and better stocked, options nearby. One of the benefits of being so close to the Blue Mountains Resort is that many servicers are close-by. Restaurants, nature adventures, boat and board rentals are all available within a 10 minute drive.
We spent our time hunting for fossils on the shale beach - and found many - and exploring the many attractions the area has to offer, including caves, panning for gemstones, etc, etc.
It's not for those who want a full-on secluded nature experience, but for a fun long weekend with the kids Craigleigh is hard to beat. Even though it was a long weekend, the Park was quiet at night. The majority of visitors were young families.
Cell signal on Rogers was ok, with the occasional LTE signal making it through.

This is a pleasant park with ample sites of different sizes, from large pull through sites to small tent only sites. We were there in May when it was not crowded, so it felt private. This would not be the case in summer. The sites are quite close together, and I imagine it would feel very crowded during July and August.
The main issue with this campground is traffic noise. The campground is bordered on one side by highway 26, which is the main highway along this part of Georgian Bay between Collingwood and Meaford. At rush hour there is a steady stream of traffic. However, after a few days we got used to it. But hardly a wilderness vibe. The quietest sites are in the tent only part of the park.
