Big campground, not a lot of trees, but better that a grass field. Lots of amenities, one of the best splash pads and warmest pool my wife said.we stayed here last Aug 2020 and again in early May of this year. We are travelling for work and it was great they would accommodate us, many other wouldn’t.

Narrow mostly level sites. Typically close together, like most other KOA’s. SeverL different site types. Some with shade, others without. Some really nice seasonal sites. Lots of activities. Pool, fishing lake, basketball, shuffleboard, playground. 2 dog parks. One for smaller dogs. Easy access to Trans Canada Highway. Close to town and all amenities.

• My site was level, but was tight.
• Very crowded campground, there are quit a few seasonal campers here, which is odd for a KOA.
• My RV (26’) and toad fit with about 2 feet to spare.
• Site had power (50 / 30 amp), water, sewer and a picnic table.
• Staff was decent.
• Their WIFI is slow, used my Rogers Hot Spot and it worked great.
• Cable TV, but reception is HORRIBLE.
• Showers have great pressure, and lots of hot water.
• Showers and washrooms are clean.
• There was not enough space in my site to connect my toad after my stay, had to pull out onto the main road to connect the car.

Lots of campers but we got a same day reservation and there was plenty of spaces available when we showed up at 8pm. Office is open until 9pm, EST. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms and showers. Outdoor kitchen includes grills, burners and a cleanup sink. Plenty of tables. Full hookup site includes nice table and fire ring. Lots to do for the kiddos including a pool, bounce thing, and more. Dog run for the pups. We’ve never stayed at a KOA so maybe this is the norm. Only downside was the wifi. T-mobile worked ok with 2-bars Bell LTE.

Reservations were easy on the KOA site. Check in was also easy. Our site was a drive through gravel site that was fairly level. All the utilities were well placed. There is a picnic table but this site did not have a fire pit or grill. Cable had 8 channels but two of them played NFL games. AT&T had 3 bars but the camp WiFi was very good. There are a number of interesting sites within an hour or so: Fort William, Kakabeka Falls, downtown Thunder Bay, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, Ouimet Provincial Park and a few amethyst mines. The camp is close to the highway but we weren’t bothered. There is a pool that closed mid-September. Nice playground and other things for kids that we didn’t use.

Stayed for two nights, bit pricier than other campsites we’ve stayed at but facilities were great. Toilet and showers kept very clean. Nice kitchen area by the tents with a bbq for anyone to use.
Dog park was brilliant as well, never busy and has a great little bit of water for them to play in.
Friendly staff and clean, big bathrooms with fantastic showers. $40 for an unpowered tent site, trails nonexistent from the campground, sites lacked privacy and not huge, but sufficient
