I did a review on this place before and it is as good as ever. Added bonus is that it is a Passport America park. Depending when you stay, it can be 50% off. The above price is with the passport America membership.
We do love this place.

We had a great time on site K15 (pull through) with our friends. Managed to park face to face with lots of space and shade! Great access to Kingston city centre. Will definitely come back!

Day 3, 4,5. Of 2 mon journey from IN. 8/13-15/24. Rideau Acres, site A34 $57 W & E
Beautiful location right across from the lake with an amazing sunset too. Sites are long and shaded with plenty of room even though not a lot of privacy. Good water, 30 amp elect and good cellular ( ATT). Bathroom/ shower is older but adequate. Short drive into Kingston where we did 1000 Island 3 hr boat tour one day and next day hop -on -off trolley tour then went to Fort Henry, an 1860’s fort on Lake Ontario/St Lawrence River/ Rideau River. Loved it.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. $54 CDN less Good Sam and Passport America discounts. Very nice RV Park, 50amp full hookups, and pull thru. Has a big hall building for meals, games, pool, ponds, peacocks, ducks, guinea hens and more. Very popular with locals. Would definitely stay here again. Not far from downtown Kingston which is a really cool town, old capitol of Canada.

IF you can get near the lake, it is a game changer. Lots of wildlife. Definitely skunk action but we really liked this spot. Downtown Kingston is nice. Activities (boat rentals etc.) were over priced. The Train is frequent. Spots not near the water had great mobile download speeds but uploads were unusable.

Great campground. We loved the water view. We also enjoyed the kayaking right from our lot. This location is very close to Kingston Ontario. We’re going to be coming back again next year for sure.
The only downside is when this campground is full to capacity you’ll have to be prepared for very low or no water pressure at high use times. We noticed this would happen in the morning fro 8am to 11am and from about 4pm to 9pm. Other than the water we would recommend this campground.

Stayed here for a week October 16th to October 23rd, off season so very quiet. Imagine it’s very busy during summer season. We liked the way the seasonal were congregated together as transients.
Our site was large, level and private. It backed onto the lake which made for lovely views and sunsets. Site was muddy because of the wet fall weather.
Great access to Kingston and Ottawa. Easy park access off of the 401.
The only negative for us is the lack of a dog park.

The campground is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms/ showers are very clean. The laundry is nice. The kids loved the beach, mini putt (free) duck pond, and play ground.
Sites are grass and gravel. But very level. Ok so what is wrong, well we were in the field no shade. The treed sites are booked 6 mth in advance. The two main issues were the lack of shower facilities due to them being broken. With the amount of people on a long weekend was bad. The front staff never said anything about it upon arrival. No notification on the shower house doors to suggest were the alternative was . When you find one the bathroom smelled like cooked turnip and no hot water. The cleaning staff were awesome. Friendly and did amazing job. The the front staff had some issues. No consumer service. They were cold and always giving the vibe you are bothering them. There were two exceptions. A young man that had ottawa university face mask, and one young lady that made my niece with autism feel amazing when she helped her choose her ice cream. Another instance of were the staff were thoughtless..a lady came in was given her tent site. There was no #for the site she called to clarify and asked for someone to come down. They told her it is the one with the fire pit not the picnic bench. We'll she put up her tent and there was an issue due to the fact she was in the wrong site. They did come down and then the staff member told her she put there on purpose. And that it was clear she was in the wrong site. 4 of us looked at the map and helped her with figuring it out. Only one fire ring..so she put the tent there. The staff member blew her off as she was trying to explain. Everyone on the beach was a where of the issue . There are many more situations that this staff member was rude, short or down right mean. Everyone can have a bad day but 10?

We stay here usually every spring when returning from southern USA winters. Large sites, great for walking, beautiful lake views, and access. Staff is friendly and accommodating. But the reason for the 4 instead of 5 is their policy of making visitors park their vehicles out front and making them walk into your site. Even elderly guests had to walk, or we had to drive out to get them.
