Hillcrest is a Victorian home built in the late 1880's by Gideon Kastner, a prominent businessman engaged in the early timber trade. A spacious, paneled dining room has Eastlake inspired carved motifs of rural and foreign scenes. Hillcrest has two small ponds and an extensive vegetable and flower garden. Your bilingual host is knowledgeable about the area's geography, history, scenic attractions,Bruce Trail, and offers half and full day eco tours of the Bruce Peninsula.
