A beautiful spot but at this point that’s the only positive. Rustic outhouses for bathrooms. Sites are grass and very close and somewhat level. There is 30 amp service with water and septic. A boat ramp is available along with a playground. There are new owners of only a month, hopefully there will be many upgrades. Ok for a one night stay.
WiFi is spotty at best. I did not look for the showers. AT&T had 2 bars. New owners were very friendly I wish them luck.

Very nice location, with some of the sites having a good view of the water. Facilities are somewhat dated, but clean.

We loved our stop here between Halifax and Cape Breton. Nice private wooded site with water and electric. New owners are upgrading many things, including recently installed StarNet internet. Currently it was only in the full hookup area, but expanding soon to the whole park.
Simple set up, plain facilities, reasonable prices, great sunsets. Easy off and on the transcanada highway

This was a convenient stopover from Cape Breton on our way to Halifax. Very helpful staff, who are also the owners. Nice shady site. Short walk to the beach. Bathrooms are a little outdated but clean.

The park was easy to find. It is located about twenty minutes from Port Hawksbury where you will find many services. There is pavement all the way. The interior roads are a mix of gravel and dirt but in reasonably good condition.. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Sadly, the name of the campground is not very appropriate. High class it is not. It is however, a rough gem that in time, and with a lot of effort from the proprietors, could become more of a polished gem.
We booked a two week stay with this park as it was central to the areas we planned to visit. Upon our arrival we were assigned site 40 which is a very small back in with our right side facing some low foliage. Our neighbor to our left was so close that they could not fully extend their awning and their towed vehicle had to partly encroach our site. The next day we moved to 38. Still a small site but no one would encroaching our space. The park operators should be aware of each sites assets and deficiencies. The owner quickly understood our dilemma and gladly allowed us to move. I will add that the new operators very much want to please their guests. Our services (water and 30 amp only) were to the left front but easily reached with only one hose and no extension power cable.
The next fail is their Wifi. It should not be advertised at all as we were never, in the two weeks of our stay, able to get any band width. We were advised during our check in that the service was poor. They blamed it on their being a rural park. Not a good excuse. We have been to many rural parks that had good wifi service. Normally, this would not bother us as we carry our own cell internet service. Sadly, we could barely get a one bar signal most days thus, we had no internet until we could get to Port Hawksbury.
Third is the beach. It is nothing but a very rocky shore line and the rocks are sharp. There is a sign recommending users to wear water shoes but serious hiking boots would be more appropriate.
On the upside, though we did not use the washrooms or showers we checked and found them to be dated but clean. There is one washer and one drier and they are both new and they work well. Canoe and paddle boat rentals are available on site. The operators keep the park clean and make sure most rules are adhered to. It is a quiet park. The office carries small items for sale so one would not have to leave the park for milk, eggs, bread or ice etc. Be aware. Not all sites are even close to being equal. Some are very badly sloped, or very very close together. Some have privacy others have none. It’s a bit of a mish mosh. We give the owners a 10 for their effort but the park, as it is, in our opinion, should only be considered an overnighter. One can overlook a lot if you only need to use it for a night sleep. We would never use this park as a base again.
We paid $45.00 plus tax per night and we feel we received poor value.

Picturesque site! Everything is maintained well and the people are super nice. Definitely recommend!
Call for reservations at a nearby campground and was redirected to our class ocean for the size of our RV. Camp staff at high class very accommodating and friendly. Good Verizon coverage. We did not use the amenities, but was ok for overnite stay.
