Fogo Island is a remote, accessible island located off the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland, Canada – just over halfway between the equator and the North Pole. Its climate features seven seasons. It is the largest of an archipelago of islands at the very eastern edge of the North American continent; Far, far away yet close enough for short getaways. We are open all year-round. During Fogo Island’s seven seasons, you can find what you’re looking for even if it’s been with you all along. Here, life moves to the rhythm of the natural world. Our guest suites embody the spirit of the mysterious and sacred islets, rocks and shoals that lie just north and can be seen from your window. Over the centuries our ancestors gathered along these places to fish and orient themselves through deep waters. Today, our Inn is where guests and locals come to gather all year-round. All of our 29 guests suites are a comforting retreat with unbroken floor-to-ceiling views of the North Atlantic Ocean. This is the only place in the world where you can soak up contemporary outport design, simply by spending time in your own suite. Every textile and piece of furniture is handcrafted and made of us – from the quilts to the chairs and wallpaper patterns.
