“maple hills, rocky ridges, and lakes”
Algonquin, the first provincial park in Ontario, protects a variety of natural, cultural, and recreational features and values. As one of the largest provincial parks, Algonquin is diverse and offers something for nearly everyone.
Algonquin Park is northwest of Bracebridge; head north on 11 to Huntsville and take 60 east into the Park!
we come to algonquin every year, at least twice! its a fantastic place to go with family and friends to spend some time in the wilderness. there are both family oriented, full facility campsites with a great camping feel and also interior camping where you can go miles in untouched wilderness to spend the night! fantastic place to canoe too, whether you're a veteran canoer or just starting out. definitely recommend!
Very crowded in August. Informative Visitor Center.
Beautiful scenery in the autumn. Perfect place for a canoeing trip.
