Cool Waters RV Park

The Nelson city campground closed on us mid October, so we had to scramble for an alternative. Cool Waters, tho not much more than grassy sites surrounding a gravel parking lot, did the trick and actually had some nice elements. First, as great as the city CG’s location is, Cool Waters is only really like 5 mins out of town, plus had good Wi-Fi, a grassy area for the kids to play and friendly owner. Two bathroom stalls with RV toilets were actually clean and usable, especially important since there were no sewer connections or dump station.

MTB trails across the highway at the graveyard or nearby at Morning Mountain. Also a fun bike park in Rosemont. Great co-op grocery and countless restaurants and breweries in the great strolling town of Nelson.
