Sunset View Campground

We now plan (next year for sure) a stop here. Pleasant owners, electrical and water in the upper tier (don't recall about sewer). Just a few minutes from the Trans Canada (Hwy 2).

Easy open - sites, very hot usually (July/Aug) and no concerns about the power - except [not thier fault] hurricane damaged Provincial infrastructure ... entire northern Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick was out.

Pool was clean, sites were clean / not level - but a few blocks and we were good to go.

Recommend. YES

Great little campground with brand new, friendly owners in 2021! There’s a pool, full hook ups, pull thru sites and a dump station. Clean hot showers and on site store and laundromat. Would stay here again!

Hosts were very welcoming, found us a nice spot that was dry, make sure we understood the locations of all the amenities. Since we were traveling after October 20, 2021 we were the only people in the camp. However, the owner came out in the evening to make sure we were comfortable and to ask if we needed a fire. We would recommend this place anyone, it’s lovely. Finally, the bathrooms were spotless.

In all transparence, I have to declare that I was bribed with a bag of delicious cookies, given to us by Jimmy when we arrived, to write this review. Seriously, our only regret is that we only spent one night at this beautiful, clean and peaceful campground. The newly renovated pull through sites were nice and level gravel. Perfect when you've been driving all day. They are also more spaced apart than average. When we took a walk through the campground, you could see all the work the owners did: new pool, new patio around the activity centre, new dock on the river. Jimmy and Christopher were the most gracious hosts we have ever met in all our travels (over 10k km so far). We enjoyed being on the dock and watch the sunset over the mountains. Highly recommended!

I was on a road trip from Iowa to Nova Scotia. I planned my stops pretty far in advance. Sunset View Campground was my first stop in New Brunswick. Someone was already outside ready to greet me. Showed me to my site and even guided me so I was set right for the hookups. Very friendly. It was only for one night but I was impressed. On my way back, I went through the same area and it worked out that I would stay here again. Same great service and they even remembered my dog’s name. Very clean and quiet. There are back up sites with a beautiful view of the river. If you need a pull through they’re in a different area. Can kind of see the river but still nice anyway.

This is a small campground but it is spotless and so well cared for. The grass at the sites are far superior to ours at home! The owner is very present and willing to engage with campers. The only downside is that there isn’t a lot to do within close distance.

• Staff was excellent.
• Their WIFI slow, used my Rogers Hot Spot and it was great.
• No TV, not even air channels.
• Showers have excellent pressure and hot water.
• Showers are paid, $1.00 for 6 minutes.
• Very quiet and peaceful.
• I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Different than most each vehicle faces alternate ways so no one is beside a sewer drain or plug side which is nice but that means you share a green space with another camper and only one fire pit to share works nice if you are of similar age and interest of your neighbors. But it not it’s an awkward stay
