“To continue to collect and preserve the history of the Saint John Police”
The Saint John Police Museum Inc is a non-profit organization and we are honored to be the keepers of the Saint John Police Force history. The museum is run by volunteers who have been trained and qualified by the Saint John Police Force. We would love to have you come visit us in person at 56 Prince William Street in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. You can visit our calendar page to find out what days and hours we are open and click on a day and then map to find directions on how to get here. Please sign our guestbook before you leave as it is always so nice to see who has visited our website and read the comments. The Saint John Police Museum Inc. displays the history of the local police force. Historic uniforms, badges and photos are featured. The Saint John Police Force is the largest municipal service in New Brunswick and has been serving Saint John since 1849. These are our beginnings and what you are about to read is taken from "The Saint John Police Story - The Clark Years 1890 - 1915" authored by Gerald F. Wallace, William Higgins and Peter McGahan to be shared with our community through the Saint John Police Museum Inc with permission given by Linda HIggins, widow of William Higgins. Saint John’s police force had been established in 1849, at a time of rather acrimonious conflict between Catholics and Protestants.
