Comfort Inn Magnetic Hill

On our road trip - staying in a different place nearly every night. We are not fussy. Just looking for a clean and safe place within our travel budget. As far as that goes, the comfort inn was fine. We stayed here last week and again on the return trip. The room itself was good. Fridge and microwave, a c worked fine. Good plumbing and comfortable beds with a variety of pillows. Both times we were given a second floor room and the only access is via stairs. So if you have mobility issues you may want to find a hotel with an elevator. Last nights stay was where we lost a star. The breakfast that was included could be improved. You hand in your coupon and someone is there managing the hot food. Last week I got two pieces of bacon. I would have liked more since I don't eat eggs but I got the distinct impression that I would be told no. Just my feeling but I decided to have an English muffin to round it out. Today was sausage that looked like a thin frozen patty that was steamed. Looked scary to eat and we sent it back. The big thing was at 7:30 a m. A crew was testing the fire alarms all over the hotel. It was routine-I asked. I actually got out of bed and dressed in a hurry because I thought we might have to leave the rooms for either a drill or a real fire! No reason for it at that hour and we were not notified in advance. Also there was lots of housekeeping going on and I think 7:30 is way too early for vacuums and slamming doors. So if back this way again I would choose another place.
