When we first arrived and hooked up to the water, the faucet leaked quite a bit, wasting gallons of water. My husband let management know and they never repaired during out three night stay; we weren’t the only site. We were traveling as a group, five units. The night before we were leaving a horrible storm was coming. My husband spoke with the office about us leaving a day early. He expressed his concern about the campground flooding. The campground was located between a river and highway, with the campground down lower in between. The gentleman told my husband the campground would not flood and if it did, Winnipeg would flood. One of our campers came home late and the flooding had already started, so they moved their trailer to a higher site. By morning, two other trailers had water over their steps with sewer and electrical lines under water. A maintenance worker came down to pump the water from the sites, and pumped the water into the river; bear in mind the sewers were flooded. The entire group evacuated as soon as they were able. Stay there at your own risk, because management of this campground will not look out for your safety.

We were traveling as a group, five units. When we arrived there was some water on 3 of our sites (23,24,25) but we did not worry to much since it had been raining. However, the night before we were leaving a horrible storm was coming. We were not sure if we should leave ahead of the storm or stay during the storm. Our concern where high winds on the road or flooding in the campground. One of the men of the group went to the office to express our concerns about the campground flooding. The campground is between the highway and the river, and some sites had some water already. The gentleman at the office told our friend that the campground would not flood and if it did, Winnipeg would flood. One of our campers came home late and the flooding had already started, so they moved their trailer to a higher site. By morning, our trailer had water over the first step with water, sewer and electrical lines under water. Our neighbor's sites were also flooded. We had to leave in a hurry, my husband had to unhook the trailer walking on those contaminated waters (note that the sewer lines of several campers were flooded), and then we had to leave under a wind storm. If we had been told the truth the night before, we could have left in better conditions. The worst of this was not only that the campground flooded, is first we were told lies, and second they could have moved us to higher sites because the campground had enough space for that. The management of this campground does not look out for your safety so be very careful if you decide to stay.

This KOA is clearly under new management and its a typical KOA Journey…perhaps a step above. Staff were excellent, WiFi was new and good. Our pull through site was spacious and easy to navigate. Overall 4 star park we would recommend staying at for a night…or as many as you like.

• My site was fairly level.
• It was very spacious and quite deep, could have easily accommodated a much bigger rig.
• My RV (26’) and toad fit in with plenty of room to spare.
• Site had power (50 / 30 amp), water, sewer and a picnic table.
• Staff was excellent.
• Owners are great ambassadors for Winnipeg, got many great ideas from them.
• There was glitch at check in, partially on the KOA app, partially on the staff. It all worked out in the end.
• WIFI is poor.
• No cable TV, but 4 air channels, 3 Canadian, 1 French.
• Showers have great pressure, but no way to control temp. Push a button get 36 seconds of water.
• Showers are new and clean.

More like a truck stop than a campground. Stayed on a site in the T section but did check out the river front sites. All are just a piece of grass with a picnic table and a fire pit (some with grills). It is very close to the highway can hear it clearly. Was awoken at 8:30am by construction in the camp on a Sunday morning. We cabbed into the outserts of Winnipeg to the Thirsty Lion (great bar), but it cost $40 one way.
