Asessippi Beach & Campground

Wow!
What a great day to have booked a yurt. We only had one day of rainy weather, and that was our day at Asessippi. Unfortunately I couldn’t light a campfire, but we’re we’re both warm and dry.
I was a little disappointed that there was no BBQ, the yurt I rented last fall at Spruce Woods provincial park was fully equipped, (including a can opener)
Nonetheless, Asessippi is lovely and clean.
This was the last week they were open so not many of the services were available and the staff weren’t very clear in their knowledge of the park features. We were however able to find the scenic overlook so we could revisit a warm memory of our last visit with our golden lab MacKenzie, but I couldn’t find how to get to the bridge crossing the Shell river.
