“at the southern tip of the Halifax peninsula”
Point Pleasant Park is a large, partially forested municipal park at the southern tip of the Halifax peninsula. It once hosted several artillery batteries, and still contains the Prince of Wales Tower - the oldest Martello tower in North America. Point Pleasant Park is one of Halifax Regional Municipality's great civic places. The best way to experience the park is to know a bit about it before you head off down the forest road. Cycling is a great way to enjoy Point Pleasant Park. Please be aware that you will be sharing the park with park staff, walkers, dog walkers and their off-leash dogs, runners, picnickers, artists, birders, and the occasional gaggle of preschool children.
