Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 31, 2023Wasa Lake is one of our family's favorite places to stay. The beach on the lake is wonderful, and by autumn the water is warmed up nicely. There is a super cool children's bike park (these are big in Canada, it seems). The campsites are very shaded and feel like you're in a deep forest.
Note that the "35 foot limit" is the real deal. At 33 feet, I felt like we were too big for this park, and its narrow roadways and right trees. We managed to maneuver into our site (and out again, whew), but it took some work.
Do not miss the Lazy Lake Bike Loop, 33 miles of tough gravel and glorious paved downhill. You need a gravel bike (ideal) or mountain bike (ok) to tackle this, and it's completely worth it if you do. This is one of my favorite rides anywhere.

Very nice campground, nearly empty when we were here 6/6-6/7. We tried to understand the reserved placards as almost half the site have them- however they were all marked like someone was coming in. When we asked the host they said that those were for those who made online reservations even if they weren’t occupied/they had no one coming in. FCFS had to have a blank post. There were plenty to choose from but it was a little odd- didn’t investigate if you could make same day reservations or not.
Loops are all paved with gravel spots- almost all had very level parking spots. Turns at ends of loops we’re a little tight, we ended up rubbing a tree on one with our 32ft fifth wheel, big bummer. Showers were free and clean but we didn’t use.
Camp host came around to check us in, was very friendly took cash and I believe credit card.
