They have a few really great sites on the ocean, and making more. However, the outhouses are what you’d see in the 1950s. Horrible! I drove to the main gate daily. There were flush toilets (2 stalls) and showers at the office area. They are in the process of building another mid-campground flush and shower building.
Don’t, I empathize, don’t access this campground by the highway from Sooke BC. It literally was the worst paved road I’d ever driven. There were many, many bumps and dips in the road. The trailer was up and down constantly.
We left by way of the road to Lake Cowichan. That was bad for the first five or so miles, but then good. There are a few big hills and switchbacks going over the mountain range, but much much better. Would I go again? I ticked “yes” only because there was no “maybe” choice.
They claim there is wifi service (for $2 per). There is no cell service.

A nice beach view. Facilities are nothing special, the staff was alright. It's good for a night or two as it has everyone one needs, but it's nothing "wow".
