“a short walk from the springs!”
ABOUT LHL Our lodge and camp ground area is ideal for families, groups, and romantic getaways; visitors will find this place to be a great place to unwind. In the winter, bring your snowmobile, cross-country skis or snowshoes as there are many little adventures to explore. In the summer months, you can go hiking to Smith River Falls or go fishing in the Liard River, however let us remind you to not forget to experience and embrace the natural spa of the Liard Hotspring’s Provincial Park. The Park is located directly across the Alaska Highway from the lodge. The hotspring waters bubble from the ground at water temperatures ranging from 42° C to 52° C year-round, cascading into pools to soak and relax. This relaxing experience is a ten minute stroll form the lodge along a wooden boardwalk that meanders through a warm water swamp and boreal forest which supports rich and diverse plant communities as well as mammal and bird species. Watch for moose feeding in the warm water swamps. Due to the lush plant life influenced by the warmth of the springs, the area was originally known as the "Tropical Valley." Stay with us at the Liard Hotsprings Lodge and let the relaxation seep into your body as you soak in the second largest hotsprings in Canada. This beautiful setting will help relieve stress and will be an experience to remember for a life time.

We stayed here February 19th, 2018. The staff was extremely helpful, allowing us to plug in for the night and park in the parking lot. The hot springs were hot, the lodge served good food and a gentleman even asked about our plans agreeing to open early so we could buy gas and leave at dawn.

We were delighted to arrive and found almost all the first come first serve sites available. All the reserved sites were booked. Lovely campground. Amazing hot springs!

Arrived early, knowing that we might have to wait to check in, but the hot springs are right across the street, so no problem for us. The woman at the registration desk was in a mood. When we were finally able to get checked in, 3pm, we were told that the was a boil water advisory. We travel with an empty tank when we're heading for a 'full service' resort. Although told on the phone that it was full service, there was no sewer. Also the showers and laundry were out of service. The sites are really tight, close together.
