Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary

We are a non-profit organization who promotes responsible wolfdog ownership by providing educational programs on the misconceptions of wolfdogs. We also discuss the importance of preserving wolves in the wild! We oversee the rescue and safe sanctuary for wolfdogs that have been neglected, abandoned, or otherwise displaced. An interpretive walk through the sanctuary allows visitors to see the sanctuary and view our various packs of wolfdogs at your own pace. This is a great opportunity to learn interesting facts about wolves and wolfdogs and support the sanctuary. As space is not limited and no reservation is required, drop-ins are welcome. Minimum age is 6 years old. Ask a guide questions and see them interact with the wolfdogs at our activity times, which run at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:30pm. Hours: 10am to 5pm, $24 per person. Want to know more about wolfdogs? Enjoy the opportunity to learn all about the sanctuary and get an introduction to what wolfdogs are all about. This is a great way to photograph one of our packs of wolfdogs as well as having full access to one of our wolfdog experts. Minimum age is 12 years old. This tour is offered at 10:45am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:45pm. Drop-ins are welcome, however large groups (10+) will require a booking. Arriving 15 minutes prior to your tour is recommended to allow enough time for signing in and a short briefing. $34 per person. Come enjoy an up-close and intimate look at wolves and wolfdogs. Gain a better understanding about wolf behaviour through the wolfdogs at our sanctuary and how this behaviour fundamentally differs from domestic dogs. This is also a great opportunity to learn about the importance of wolves in our ecosystem, and why it’s so important to preserve them in our natural environment. Minimum age is 15 years old.
