Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 21, 2019Pretty but small campground about a mile off the highway on the other side of a small lake. You can't see the highway but it is close enough that you can hear the traffic. Sites are pretty tight and there is a short, steep gravel hill to negotiate with a small turn around area at the bottom and a sharp turn to get to the lake. Definitely not suitable for big rigs and 4wd needed to pull a small camper or boat back up that hill.
Rare to have lakeside camping in this area for only $22. Other lakeside camps along the David Thompson Highway like Fish Lake and Goldeye are charging more.
Good cell signal here on the Rogers network. There is a cell tower in the town of Nordegg that covers as far as the north end of Abraham Lake up to Windy Point.
