If you find yourself in the Grande Cache area, this is a great place to stay. Operating from May long weekend to Canadian Thanksgiving, the park is clean and well kept. Sites and roads are gravel, lots of trees throughout. There are back in and pull through sites available, both offering great privacy. Services range from renting to 30 amp with water and sewer. Generally the park consists of a mix of vacationers and people working in the area. Rigs of all sizes can be accommodated.
*A note on reservations!*
Generally you won’t have an issue getting in here. BUT. August long weekend the town hosts The Canadian Death Race, an ultra marathon through the surrounding mountains. If you want to get a site for that particular weekend, you MUST contact the office May 1. The park fills up that day, sometimes before noon. Many people drive to the remote town to wait in line for the office to open up to guarantee their spot.

Maybe I'm more jaded than the other reviewer or maybe they don't have an electrical management system that will shut your power off to prevent damage when voltage being supplied is not adequate to run your appliances. This happened each and every time I tried to use the microwave so be warned. Yours may seem to work okay but you'll be replacing it soon if you continue using it under circumstances like this. The electrical hook up also had no breakers. If this is 30 amp service the Canadian dollar isn't the only Loonie in these parts.
In addition the utility services are on the opposite side of my trailer hook ups. Better have a long water hose. I'm not even going to mention the wifi. It's almost a given that they advertise it and you never really have any,. I'm sorry, did I say I wasnt going to mention that? Park also has ATV trails.
For this price you can stay at one of the Provincial parks for twice the time and they never disappoint.

We weren’t thrilled with this place. It’s in a very pretty setting, but you are paying top dollar for electric and it’s really messed up. We weren’t running anything that drew more than 15 amps and we were in a 30 amp site. The power literally cut off about every 5-10 minutes. This is definitely not an issue with us or our trailer, there’s big problems here. The water spigot is in the very back, hope you have an extra hose! The WiFi doesn’t work, it’s there, but you won’t be able to connect. In hindsight we would’ve stopped at one of the nearby free recreation areas and used our generators and good phone signal and saved the $40. Unfortunately there were also very loud drunk howling campers late into the night and the rude guy next to us wanted to watch us with his drone. We had to put a stop to that. Firewood is $20. Wouldn’t recommend.

Google kind of takes you out of the way. The easy way in from the south is to take a right at the Petro-Canada / DQ, and follow directions back into park. The park is tucked in behind town. The park office is not staffed. You need to make reservation online. This is important if the gate is closed, you get the gate code in confirmation email. Plenty of sites for big rigs (34' 5th Wheel). Sewer connections are in different loctions at each site (may need longer hose. Elec is always on 30 amp with no breaker. Good place to land after 6 days dry camping in Jasper/Banff - enroute to Alaska. A bit on spendy side.

Called in advance and spoke to the staff, he was helpful but did say all reservations are online only, works for me. Picked out a full service site which was gravel but clean close to the laundry but a bit unlevel. Definitely would stay again. Does have WiFi but not sure how far it reaches as we used it at the laundry.

Called and talked to the office staff prior to getting here, extremely helpful. I remembered my name when I got here. you have to book online as they do not take reservations and you can’t pay when you come in. Site was well marked however it was a little but that’s OK. If I ever come back this way again, I would definitely stay here.
