150 years of history are celebrated at the Furphy Museum. The most distinctive product to carry the Furphy brand is the farm water cart. Conceived as a dedicated implement for water transportation, the Water Cart found a ready market when created in the 1880's. The museum is also dedicated to the history of Furphy Foundry, beginning when John Furphy started out with a blacksmith and wheelwright business in 1864. The Museum is housed with the Shepparton Motor Museum - two museums for the price of one.
