The Walhalla Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine is located in the original living historic gold mining town of Walhalla. Created by the discovery of gold in 1862, The Walhalla Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine commenced operation in 1865 by the original Hercules Gold Mining Company, working their way to Cohen's reef. Each tour is conducted by a Mine Guide who is familiar with the Mines history and the history of Walhalla. Tours are informative as well as entertaining.
