Railtrack Riders Pty Ltd

Railtrack Riders Pty Ltd is a business initiative of the Maydena Community Association Inc. A Railtrack Rider is "rolling stock", a four-wheeled, lightweight vehicle that is powered by foot pedals. It travels on 1067mm gauge railway. Railtrack Riders is a first in Australia with the successful concept of utilising a disused 16 kilometre section of unused railway from Mt Field National Park to Maydena. It is a unique fitness activity that provides exercise using the power of pedals to propel a group or individuals along disused non-operational railway corridor, while enjoying the vista and aura of forests and climate. In the USA, Canada, Sweden and Germany, similar pedal powered track cycles are a successful tourist attractions making use of unused rail infrastructure.
