The Pelican Man provides you with an entertaining and informative talk about the pelicans and other sea birds, while encouraging their participation with fish treats. Bring your camera, because the Pelican Feeding display is so entertaining that thousands of photos have been taken over the 16 years since it began. In fact - the Pelican Man is probably the most photographed person on Kangaroo Island. If you are a keen photographer of wildlife, you will enjoy photographing these birds as they dive, fly and eat their food. All of the birds are wild birds and do not rely on the fish treats to live. They forage in the sea for their normal requirements, but are quite happy to receive some extra morsels. You will see them flying, taking flight, landing, swimming and trying to dive. Learn about what they can and can't do. If you like, you can even get a 'bit too close for comfort'. (Now, why does the pelican man wear a hat?)
