“Creating visions of the past for future generations!”
The Village was the vision of some very inspiring community members who's aim was to create a place where history could be preserved and presented in a 'streetscape' style as it was back in the day. There are more than 30 buildings housing amazing collections and bring a bygone era to life. Some of these include the coach house, blacksmiths, general store, post office, bakery, union hotel, barbers, chemist, café, bank, hospital and a butcher shop.
In addition to the streetscape shops, there are significant collection displays including The Artesian Basin Centre, Norman Donpon Lapidary Display, War Museum, Mr G Morgan Shell House, Main Museum and more. Many of the collections are comprised of items generously donated by keen enthusiasts of the Miles Historical Village from all over Australia. Come along and explore a slice of history in this unique setting!
