With a summit peaking at 1861m, Hotham gets some of the best natural snowfalls in Victoria. And once the fresh powder’s fallen, take your pick from tree runs, natural halfpipes, gullies, bowls, intermediate cruisers, powder pockets and the extreme zone—great for speed junkies wanting to get away from beginners or families and thunder down black runs. This is a mountain you can lose a week (and a bunch of nerves) on with 320 hectares of awesome terrain, serviced by 13 lifts. With all different types of on and off mountain accommodation (7000 beds) split between Hotham and Dinner Plain, 10km away, it’s popular in the white and green seasons.
