Bendeela Camping Ground

This reserve in Kangaroo Valley is a wonderful recreation area to camp on. The campsites are on mown, slightly undulating grass areas and divided into blocks with large stones. In busy times, another large area is opened up. There is not much shade in the camping area but plenty by the lake in the day activity area. The lake is large enough for boating, fishing and swimming. There are two generously proportioned toilet blocks with disability access, one in each area. At each toilet block there is a dump station hidden to one side. Water is available and there are rubbish bins. There is a 50-day limit. At dusk, wombats wander around the site and leave their visiting cards. There is also a great variety of bird life.
