Cheyenne Wilderness Retreat Farmstay is a true farmstay experience that is hands-on and interactive. The 1800 acre working cattle farm is perched right on the edge of the Macleay Gorge in the beautiful New England Tablelands, near Walcha, New South Wales just a little over an hours drive from Armidale. Your hosts make sure that your farm stay experience starts the minute you arrive. You can relax in comfortable accommodation or settle in the gazebo right on the edge of the gorge. The daily chores include feeding the chickens, pig and milking the cow as well as collecting the eggs. Three children live on this family property so there is a sand pit, swings, bikes and trampoline as well as a heap of other toys! For the grown ups, there is your own deck overlooking the gorge whilst you read or just relax and re-charge the batteries.
