Tasmanian Glassblowers

Tasmanian Glassblowers is the production based studio of master glassblower, James Dodson.

James began his professional life as an architectural draftsman but was captivated by the seductive quality of molten glass. He studied at the Orrefors Glass School in Sweden and worked in Greenwich, London before returning to Tasmania.

The studio is located in Breadalbane about 10 minutes from the centre of Launceston. It is a visually exciting studio where visitors are able to watch at close range the molten glass being made into high quality glass products. The studio makes everything from one off glass commissions to exquisite and highly exclusive stem and tableware pieces.
