“Nolan Art, in Hobart's Salamanca Art Centre, offers art workshops and original Tasmanian art.”
Nolan Gallery and Nolan School of Art, in Hobart's Salamanca Art Centre, offers contemporary Australian and Tasmanian art. Established in 1999 by artist and teacher, Betty Nolan, our contemporary gallery and atelier is part of the sandstone warehouses on Hobart's docks. We hold regular exhibitions to celebrate the work of local painters, jewellers, printmakers and ceramists. In our practical art studios students learn how to paint, draw, make prints and ceramics. Our qualified tutors lead sessions for full days as well as private tuition, all of which can be booked online. During holiday periods we hold intensive art classes for adults and children. We also provide creative training workshops for businesses. Nolan Art is across the landing from the renowned Long Gallery and looks down on Kelly's Lane in Hobart's waterfront art and restaurant precinct
