Sandy Bay Historical Society Inc. conducts walks by appointment only. Tours can be arranged for alternate times and days for large groups. Discover Lower Sandy Bay from a Rural Landscape to Suburbia. Take a walk from Wrest Point to Long Beach, then along the Promenade to Blinking Billy Point. Walk the bounds of the Norfolk Islander Land Grants, discovering the pioneering families who stayed, and learn about the families who left their names on the map. Discover the many 'handsome villas' built by wealthy Hobart citizens in the 1880's, many of which still stand today, along Sandy Bay Road. (Guided walk only.)
