EXHIBITION Hadley's Gallery presents an exhibition of artists active in Tasmania during the nineteenth century. The exhibition features reproductions of watercolours and drawings. Colonial artists engaged with the Tasmanian landscape in a variety of ways. The artists featured are John Skinner Prout, Francis Guillemard Simpkinson de Wesselow and Louisa Anne Meredith. COLLABORATION The exhibition presents a selection of reproductions. It offers a glimpse of the collection held by the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. Close collaboration between TMAG and Hadley's Orient Hotel has facilitated the presentation of this exhibition at Hadley’s Gallery. Due to the delicacy of works on paper, photographic reproduction is the only way that these priceless works can remain permanently on display. We are proud of our partnership with TMAG and encourage all visitors to Hobart to explore. Their extraordinary collections and exhibitions are housed at Davey Street and Dunn Place. VISIT Hadley's Gallery is open to house guests and visitors from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm daily. Admission is free. Gallery Brochures are available for $2 each from reception. On occasion, the gallery space is booked for private events and is therefore closed to the public, these times will be listed on this page
