Unless you know where it is and how far up the highway it is, you might only get a glimpse of it, like my dad and I did. There is no where for you to really stop/pull over. It's on private property, so you couldn't actually go right up to it or inside..bummer! So be on the lookout for it and snap a picture quickly!

You can see this from the freeway. Not really worth the stop. Snap a picture as you cruise by!

The owner is not friendly, nor are there signs to direct traffic. We stopped with our Airstream but there was no suitable parking for RV's. I thought we'd go around the back to the front, but there was no signage. There was fencing that was not visible from the front so I had to back up the trailer. At the point I was beginning to back out the owner came out and said he didn't allow anyone back here. There were no signs to let you know and I told him I was in the process of backing up. He then left and we continued to back up. We parked in the front, but clearly - there is no designated parking for RV's. Not only that, the viewing center in the "golf ball" is closed until the summer but there are no signs letting you know. We went inside and were treated rudely by the owner, even after we apologized for our mistake. They won't last long - especially since there is really nothing there to purchase as far as food items or snacks.

We pulled off the freeway to get a closer view. There is a convenience store located there. We went in and I purchased a Route 66 Cream Soda bottle. Just a good place to stop and get out to stretch your legs. Cannot tour the house, as it is a private residence, but was worth the short drive off freeway to get a better view. Maybe about 1 mile off and 1 mile back to the freeway. Did not measure the distance, but from what I remember, it was not far.

Quick stop. It's free. But not a lot to see. You can go in, and there is a very small gift shop, with a few tshirts, and Nick nacks. You can go up to the next story, with a few museum type things. Maybe 3 or 4 small exhibits. The 3rd floor is under renovation. There is a store next door. Very sparce. Cold drinks, some chips, and ice.
