“Highest point on Beartooth Highway”
This is the highest point along the Highway with spectacular views in every direction. In late may and early June, this high elevation are can produce harsh weather conditions including blowing snow and fog, resulting in short term (less that 24 hours) highway closures.
This is and was the most increditable drive in my 50 years of travel. This is a must for anyone that is going to be traveling anywhere close , you must go, absolutley beautiful.
West Summit (Beartooth Pass Overlook): The highest point on the highway (almost 11,000 feet), the West Summit gives you a panoramic view for miles and miles. Be advised… This elevation can cause some gnarly weather so this stretch of the highway is closed from time to time.
