This lodge is one of only two winter lodging options within the park. All lodging options have private bath including shower. The western cabins were built in 1989 while the frontier cabins are simpler. Open December through March and May through October.
We stayed here in August and the room only had one tiny window that opens, the room never cooled off. They provided us with a small fan, but there weren’t any outlets near the window. Between the hot room and the thin walls, we got very little sleep. I would not recommend staying here in the summer or if you don’t want to hear everything in the halls or surrounding rooms.
