“An ambitious memorial”
A statue of a boy scout 17ft tall. The most ambitious effort to memorialize the Scouting movement in the world. 17-ft. tall statue of a Boy Scout marking the 100th anniversary of the youth organization. The supersized Scout’s gaze is eastward, toward the Wasatch National Forest. Perhaps he’s looking for wildlife on the mountain slopes, or mentally planning a gorge-spanning rope bridge to an obscure pioneer grave.
It is actually at Hogan park which is about a mile east of where it was said to be.
Wow...just found this today...but no thanks to thos website! The picture they show here is actually in Plymouth, New Hampshire---not Woods Cross, UT...
we finally found the Centennial Boy Scout monument hidden in trees in Hodge Park and while cool for Boy Scouts, looks NOTHING like the photo above....grrrrrr!
Statue is in Hogan Park - so glad we got to find it and take a picture with my husband (Eagle Scout) and my son (Cub Scout)
In Hogan Park (not where listed in app).
